Operational Change: Right-Side Roadway Collection
To prioritize the safety of our drivers and service personnel, Republic Services has standardized all routes to exclusively collect materials from the right side of the roadway.
- Safety First: Drivers and collection staff are instructed not to cross lanes of traffic to service containers or collect bags. This minimizes the risk of incidents on public roads.
- Route Efficiency: Materials will be collected as the truck travels along the designated side of the street.
- Alternate Side Collection: If residents observe our trucks passing their location without collection, please advise them not to be concerned. Our vehicles service one side of the road at a time and will return shortly to collect the alternate side when it is positioned on the right of the truck’s path.
