New Information for 2010:

Wisconsin has a new law regarding the landfill ban and recycling of certain electronic items, (example: computers, TV's, ect.)  from Wisconsin households and K-12 Schools.  This law puts the responsibility for most of the cost to be covered by the manufactures, look for collections events in your area starting in the summer of 2010.  If you have questions, please refer to the Wisconsin DNR at (608) 266-2111 or http://dnr.wi.gov/org/aw/wm/ewaste/ or Faherty Incorporated (608) 348-9586 or 1-800-848-4591.

  • Garbage and recycling collection will be on Thursdays.
  • Please have items out for collection by 7:00 a.m.
  • Recycling bins should be placed near the roadside for easy access by our recycling vehicle.
  • When putting out your recyclables, please use your discretion on windy and rainy days. Rain will ruin paper materials and the wind will blow loose material out of the bins.
  • To help avoid worker injury, garbage containers should have a maximum size of 35 gallons and weigh no more than 50 pounds.

Tire, appliance, waste oil and lead acid battery pick-up will be on the 2nd Thursday of each month according to the following guideline:  • Call Faherty, Inc. (1-800-848-4591) at least one day prior to request for pick-up.
• Tires are limited to 8 car tires per household per year.
• Appliances are limited to 2 appliances per household per year.
• Waste oil must be in leak proof containers.
• Lead acid battery casings must not be cracked.
