The Shullsburg Revolving Loan Fund

Purpose and Objectives:

The City of Shullsburg Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) is a special pool of money established to provide fixed rate, low interest, and low down payment financing for new and expanding businesses in the City of Shullsburg.  The fund is intended to provide financing assistance for commercial revitalization, business start-ups, business expansions and industrial development within the City of Shullsburg.  The purpose of this assistance is to stimulate economic development projects that would not be feasible without the use of RLF funds.

The Fund's goal is to increase employment and business ownership opportunities for Shullsburg residents.  Its stated objectives are:

• To provide financing assistance to eligible business interests, specifically those creating jobs for low-to-moderate income persons.

• To stimulate commercial revitalization of the downtown commercial district.

• To encourage the preservation and restorations of historic structures in the City of shullsburg

• To create jobs for Shullsburg area residents, at least 60% of which will be offered to low-to-moderate income persons.

• To support business activity that will help diversify the local economy, especially manfacturing types of activity.
